Summit PT is a rare clinic where the owners are not only deeply invested in their patients but are also actively treating clinicians with advanced training in orthopedics, PRI, and McKenzie methods. As a student, I was mentored by multiple Physical Therapists who were both highly skilled and incredibly kind. That experience built such a strong clinical foundation that I stayed on for 3.5 years, even while planning a future in travel PT. Summit will always feel like home to me.

Summit Physical Therapy was a great clinic for my final rotation of PTA school. They truly care about making a difference in the health of the Homer community and it shows through their support, education, and knowledgeable staff. My time there provided me with the tools I needed to successfully graduate and gain entry level skills and experience to become a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. Thanks, Summit!
~ Justin
I was so grateful for Summit PT being willing to take me as a student on short notice after another clinic site unexpectedly cancelled. From day one I felt welcomed and supported by the whole team. I worked closely with Kristin, Jay, Joanna, and Amanda and gained valuable clinical insight, but the most memorable experiences was traveling to Seldovia for the day to treat members of that community. Summit PT goes above and beyond to support their community wherever care is needed and my rotation at Summit PT was an incredible learning experience I will always appreciate.

I started my journey with Summit Physical Therapy before Summit was ever founded. When I was in high school, I took an aptitude test that showed that physical therapy was high on the list of careers I should consider. Growing up in Seldovia, I had zero interaction with any PT or rehab providers. My high school was able to facilitate me coming to Homer to shadow Jay, Amanda, and Joanna, which further sparked my interest in physical therapy. By the time I was ready to finish my PT program, I knew that I wanted to come back to Homer and work with the same clinicians who started my desire for continued learning and improvement all those years ago. It just so happened that they had started their own practice and had started providing PT services not only to Homer, but also to my hometown, Seldovia!
I then completed my final clinical rotation at Summit Physical Therapy. During my time there my clinical instructors helped foster my learning through encouragement and challenging my thought process in a constructive manner. Not only did I improve as a Physical Therapist, but also as a person. Summit provided me with an incredible place to complete my final clinical rotation with a group of supportive, intelligent, and caring people!
